Will County creates and maintains all the Township and Election maps.  As a service we are providing a link to the Lockport Township Precinct and Polling Place Map.  Below some general navigation instructions and some the common questions and problem resolution.

How to:

  • Start by clicking on Lockport Township Precinct and Polling Place Map
  • Zoom to a level that street names can be read clearly. 400% is a good start for this
    particular document. Adjust from there to your preference.
  • Press Ctrl-F to bring up the Find Tool. Enter the street name or portion of a street
    name.
  • Adobe Reader will highlight and bring that section of the map to your screen.
  • Once you have found the street name, you can zoom out by either selecting a smaller
    zoom percentage from the dropdown list or use the - button or type in a smaller
    number.

What are the requirements to view the maps?
The map and these instructions have been created for Adobe Reader. Version 7.0 was tested. Updated and somewhat recent versions of Adobe Reader should work.		 Home

How can I zoom?
Your choices are to zoom in, out or to predetermined zoom settings such as the whole

Yes, but they are not defined in the maps created and maintained by the Will County

Adobe Reader tells me the item is not found.
Trying reducing the number of letters to just the starting letters. For example,
searching for "johnson" can be found with "john" or even "nson" but will find more
street names and containing those search criteria. If the street name or portion of a
street name is a common group of characters, you may have to hit Next button in the
Find Tool to locate the exact item you want.		 Home

 
I can not see the highlighted results of the Find.
You are probably not zoomed in far enough to see the street name change to
highlighted. Try Zoom in further. You are not limited to the zoom percentages given
to you in the dropdown list (click for example). The - and + buttons on the Zoom
Toolbar offer more choices and the box that states the current view's zoom percent can
have any number between 1 and 6400 typed directly and executed with the "Enter" key.		 Home
